These are not the final terms. Full terms and conditions are being written and will replace this page before Thespio Do is opened to the public. What is below is an honest description of how the service actually works today — it is accurate, but it has not been reviewed by a solicitor and it is not a complete agreement. A todo list you talk to, run by Thespio. Your tasks live on our servers so that the same tasks reach you on every machine you sign in from.
Everything is included from the first minute, on your iPhone and in the web app. Payment details are taken by Apple when you start, and nothing is charged for the first 7 days.
Monthly or annually, whichever you chose, until you stop it. The subscription is bought and managed through Apple, who take the payment and email you a reminder before the trial ends. Cancel it in your iPhone's Settings, under Subscriptions.
Cancel before the 7 free days are up and you pay nothing at all. Cancel later and you keep full use until the end of the period you have already paid for.
They stay. When a subscription ends, your tasks become read-only: every task, every note and your whole history remain visible in the web app, and you can still export all of it. What stops is adding and changing things, the assistant, and the iPhone app — the subscription is what the app runs on, so when it ends the app stops. The web app is where your work stays readable.
We will keep it that way for 90 days, and no longer. After 90 days everything will be deleted — your live and completed tasks with all of their details, and the account itself — and we cannot get it back.
You will not be surprised by this. We email you the date when your subscription ends, and again two weeks before the deletion, with a link to export everything. Subscribe again in the app inside those 90 days and your tasks are exactly where you left them. You can also export everything, or delete the account and everything in it, from the web app at any point during those 90 days — the deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
When you talk to Do, what you say and the tasks you currently have are sent to an AI model to work out what you meant. Voice recordings are transcribed and discarded, not stored.
A photo is made smaller on your own device before it is uploaded, and the location, the time and the camera details it was carrying are removed first — they are never uploaded and never stored. Once a picture is stored, it is shown to an AI model which writes a short description of it, so that searching finds the photo as well as the words around it. You can change that description or delete the photo at any time, and deleting it removes the file itself.
The database is copied nightly so it can be restored if something goes wrong. Copies are kept for 30 days.
You can delete your account from the app at any time, and that is immediate and permanent — it removes your live and completed tasks with all of their details, and the account itself. We keep one thing afterwards: a scrambled, one-way copy of your email address and the date, for 90 days. It cannot be turned back into your address. It exists only so the free trial cannot be taken twice in quick succession, and it is deleted too.
The full privacy policy says what is stored, where, for how long, and who else handles it.
