What Thespio Do keeps about you, why, who else handles it, and how to have it removed. Written to be read, not skimmed past. Last updated 29 September 2026.
Thespio Do is made and run by Neil Manchester, an independent developer in the United Kingdom, trading as Thespio. For anything on this page, write to support@thespio.com. A person reads it.
Your email address, which is how you sign in, and a display name if you choose one. Nothing else about who you are.
Everything you put into Do: tasks, notes, dates, estimates, progress, steps, tags, links, time you track, and photos you attach. It is kept on our servers so the same tasks reach you on your iPhone and in the web app.
How you have set Do up, such as the names of the corners of your Canvas and when the morning summary arrives.
If you allow notifications, the token Apple gives us to send your morning summary to your iPhone. It is deleted with your account, or when Apple tells us it no longer works.
Sign-in codes are stored scrambled, never in the clear. With each request we note the internet address it came from, so that nobody can flood an address with codes. When you sign in to the web app from your iPhone, we show you the browser, system and rough location asking, so you can spot one that isn't you.
Apple takes the payment. We keep the subscription's reference and whether it is active, and nothing else: no card details, and Apple does not tell us your Apple Account's email address.
When you tell Thespio about your day, what you said and the tasks you have are sent to an AI model to work out what you meant. The models are run for us by Cloudflare. On the iPhone, speech is turned into words by Apple's speech recognition, the same service as keyboard dictation; in the web app, by a transcription service run by Cloudflare. Recordings are not stored, by us or by the app.
A photo is made smaller on your own device before it is uploaded, and its location, time and camera details are removed first. Once stored, an AI model writes a short description of it so search can find it. You can change the description or delete the photo at any time.
We do not use your data to train AI models, and we do not ask anyone else to.
No advertising. No tracking across other apps or websites. No analytics or profiling. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for their own use. Do does not read your contacts, calendar or location.
Only the companies that run parts of the service for us, and only for that:
Runs our servers, database, file storage and nightly backups, and the AI models and web transcription described above.
Takes subscription payments, delivers notifications to your iPhone, and turns speech into words on the iPhone.
Sends our emails: your sign-in codes and the few messages about your account.
Cloudflare's network is worldwide, so your data may be handled outside the United Kingdom. Where it is, the protections required by UK data protection law apply through our agreements with these companies.
For as long as you have an account. If your subscription ends, your tasks stay readable for 90 days and are then deleted, as the terms describe, with two emails before that happens. If you delete your account, it and everything in it go at once. The nightly backups are kept for 30 days, so a deleted account has left them all within a month. Afterwards we keep only a scrambled, one-way copy of your email address for 90 days, so the free trial cannot be taken twice in quick succession, and then that goes too.
You can see everything we hold about you, and export all of it from the web app. You can correct it, and you can delete your account from the iPhone app or the web app at any time. You can ask us about any of it at support@thespio.com. We keep your data to provide the service you asked for, and use sign-in records only to keep your account safe. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Thespio Do is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep data about them.
If this page changes in a way that matters, we will tell you by email before the change takes effect.
